Kickoff Luncheon Fuels FAMU Athletics
The FAMU Rattler Boosters will host their annual Kickoff Luncheon on August 22, a centerpiece of Fan Day that brings together supporters, athletes and coaches under one roof.
Held at the Al Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the event features a clear‑bag policy, general admission priced at $75 and eight‑person tables at $600, while raffle tickets for a Samsung 75‑inch television cost $35. Contributions can also be made through FreeDonationKiosk.com for those unable to attend.
All proceeds are earmarked for scholarships, equipment and other essential needs of the 2026 athletic programs, reinforcing the Boosters’ commitment to student‑athletes across football, volleyball and cross‑country.
The luncheon precedes the football team’s season opener on August 29 at 7 p.m. against Albany State, where new head coach Quinn Fordham Gray Sr. will lead the squad in its first test against the Golden Rams.
Beyond the game, the event underscores FAMU’s broader Fan Day outreach, fostering connections between the university and its supporters while highlighting a schedule that includes matchups with South Carolina State, Tennessee State and other SWAC opponents.
