A Schedule Built for Competition
Harvard’s athletics department released the full 2026‑27 women’s basketball schedule, a 29‑game journey that begins on November 2 with a road test against the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. The slate is designed to pit the Crimson against some of the nation’s most respected programs while preserving a rigorous Ivy League slate.
Non‑conference play includes six Power‑conference opponents, three of which will be played on campus. Highlights feature home games against Boston College and UMass, as well as a neutral‑site appearance in the Christmas City Classic against Pitt and Liberty. The team will also travel to face Michigan State, Syracuse, Colorado State and Wyoming before closing the non‑conference portion with a trip to Texas.
The Ivy League schedule begins in early January with a home matchup against Dartmouth, followed by contests against Princeton, Penn, Cornell, Columbia, Brown and Yale. The second half of the league slate features a mix of road and home games, culminating in a March 6 home game against Columbia that could prove decisive in the race for the league title.
Head coach Kate Payeur emphasized the balance between challenging out‑of‑conference opponents and the familiarity of Ivy League rivals. With 13 returning players and three newcomers, the roster aims to blend experience with fresh talent, positioning the team for a potential NCAA Tournament berth.
The schedule reflects a strategic effort to test the Crimson early, build resilience, and maintain a high standard of play that aligns with Harvard’s academic and athletic aspirations. Fans can expect a season filled with marquee matchups, travel adventures, and a clear path toward conference dominance.
