Baylor University has unveiled its 2027 baseball schedule, a 55‑game lineup that blends home‑field dominance with a demanding road circuit.
The Bears will host 33 of those contests at Baylor Ballpark in Waco, Texas, giving the program a chance to leverage its recent offensive surge and solidified pitching staff.
Key home series and marquee opponents
Conference rivals Arizona, Kansas, Houston, Arizona State and Cincinnati are slated to visit the Texas campus, each bringing a share of the Big 12’s top‑60 RPI talent.
The schedule also features the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington, where Baylor will meet Illinois‑Chicago, Minnesota, and Western Kentucky in a four‑team showcase.
Road challenges and tournament play
Travel will take the Bears to familiar foes such as Texas Tech, West Virginia and Kansas State, while non‑conference trips include contests against Rice and TCU.
The regular season culminates with the Big 12 Championship in Surprise, Arizona, before the team heads to Omaha for the NCAA Regionals, Super Regionals and the College World Series, running through late June.
Head coach Mitch Thompson, who guided the Bears to a 29‑27 record in 2026 and an eighth‑place Big 12 finish, said the slate reflects the program’s ambition to compete at the national level.
Fans can expect Tuesday and Friday home games at 6 p.m., Saturday starts at 3 p.m. and Sunday games at 1 p.m., providing a predictable rhythm for the campus community.
