The 2026 edition is slated for November 6‑8, with the following year’s dates set for November 12‑14, giving spectators a rare chance to experience two consecutive championship weekends on the same track.
Reviving the Championship Weekend
A $20 million overhaul of the speedway is reshaping the venue, adding new entry gates, a remodeled Ally Champions Club and an expanded fan zone that promises a fresh look and improved amenities for attendees.
Central to the revamp is the Beach Bash fan zone, a 20,000‑square‑foot beachfront area that will host live music, interactive activities and a variety of food and drink options, turning the track’s perimeter into a festival‑like atmosphere.
The track first opened in 1995, founded by Miami businessman Ralph Sanchez as a catalyst for economic recovery after Hurricane Andrew, and has since hosted nearly 300 days of racing each year, marking its 30th anniversary this season and a 20th return to the regional spotlight.
Fans can also look forward to seeing a star‑studded driver lineup, with names such as Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick expected to compete in the upcoming championship weekend.
Guillermo Santa Cruz, president of Homestead‑Miami Speedway, expressed enthusiasm about the return of back‑to‑back events, noting the track’s long‑term commitment to South Florida and the positive impact on the local community.
