Connor Miller, a senior midfielder for the Cornell Big Red, has been selected for the 2026 Hermann Trophy Watch List, placing him among 27 Division I men's soccer players who are in contention for the nation’s top individual honor.
A Legacy in the Making
The watch list highlights Miller as the sole representative from the Ivy League, underscoring his standing as one of the most decorated players in the conference. His recognition follows a series of accolades that include multiple All‑American and All‑Ivy selections.
Miller’s junior campaign in 2025 was particularly notable, as he appeared in all 20 matches, contributed 14 points through four goals and six assists, and earned All‑Northeast Region honors. His playmaking ability was on full display when he provided the decisive assist in a pivotal game, helping the Big Red secure a key victory.
Over the course of his collegiate career, Miller has amassed 53 appearances, 52 starts, nine goals and 18 assists for a total of 36 points. His 18 career assists rank tied for second in Cornell history, while his nine assists in a single season led the Ivy League in 2024, a season in which he was named third‑team All‑American and first‑team All‑Ivy.
The timeline for the award will see semifinalists announced on December 4, with three finalists emerging from the watch list. The winner will be revealed on January 8, 2027, at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Missouri, where the trophy is presented annually.
