Murray State Basketball Eyes Baha Mar Championship Showdown in November

The Racers gear up to face NC State, Wisconsin or Seton Hall in a high‑profile tournament that showcases their recent rise.

Murray State’s men’s basketball program is gearing up for a marquee event that could define the next chapter of its rise, the 2026 Baha Mar Championship scheduled for November in the Bahamas.

A Milestone Schedule

The Racers will open the tournament on November 19 against North Carolina State, then take on either the University of Wisconsin or Seton Hall on November 20, with both games slated to be televised on the CBS Sports Network.

Coach Ryan Miller, who guided the team to a 20‑13 record and a third‑place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference, expressed excitement about testing his squad against some of the nation’s elite programs.

Murray State has a storied history against Seton Hall, having defeated the Pirates in 1950 and 1964, and they previously downed NC State in 1988, while the upcoming matchup with Wisconsin will mark the first meeting between the two schools on the hardwood.

Roman Domon, the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, contributed 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds last season, helping the Racers to a perfect 4‑0 run through Europe where they averaged 101.5 points per game while limiting opponents to 63.5.

The European Tour not only sharpened the team’s offense but also reinforced their defensive identity, setting the stage for a competitive showing in the Bahamas.

Beyond the on‑court action, the Baha Mar Championship offers VIP experiences that include hotel accommodations, premium tickets, a welcome reception, breakfast vouchers and ground transportation, though airfare remains the responsibility of each attendee.

Travelers should note that a valid passport is required to enter the Bahamas for the championship games, adding a logistical layer to what promises to be a memorable road trip for the Murray State faithful.
