Box Elder High School’s girls soccer team delivered a commanding 8‑0 victory over Roy High in a Region 5 match on August 20, 2026, ending the visitors’ unbeaten streak in the league and marking a turning point for the Bees.
Junior forward Brooklyn Nelson stole the spotlight with a first‑ever high school hat trick, striking twice in the opening 13 minutes before capping the performance on the final play after a corner from Maddison Barber.
Supporting the onslaught, Taylor Nye and Londyn Wright each added two goals, while freshman goalkeeper Sadie Lifferth made her debut and posted a clean sheet, preserving the shutout.
Coach Kennley Bradley, who returned to her alma mater after coaching stints at Snow College and Texas State, praised the team’s cohesion and highlighted the need for tighter defensive organization as the season progresses.
The Bees’ early dominance created uncontested chances, allowing the offense to flow freely, but Bradley emphasized that defensive shape and player positioning will be focal points in upcoming practices.
