Pastrana Steps In as Bowyer Returns to NASCAR at Dover

Travis Pastrana to replace Clint Bowyer in the No. 25 truck for the Charlotte race, while a roster of free‑agent drivers prepare for upcoming events.

Clint Bowyer, a veteran of the NASCAR circuit, made his highly anticipated return to competition at Dover Motor Speedway, marking his eighth start in the No. 25 truck fielded by Kaulig Racing.

The veteran’s comeback was noted not only for his experience but also for the limited schedule he has chosen, allowing him to focus on select events while mentoring younger talent.

For the upcoming race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, series organizers announced that Travis Pastrana will step into the No. 25 truck, taking over the seat that Bowyer vacated.

A Fresh Lineup for the Free‑Agent Truck

Pastrana, best known for his exploits in rallycross and motocross, brings a crossover appeal that has drawn attention from fans and sponsors alike.

His most recent outing in the Truck Series came at Daytona International Speedway in February, where he finished 15th, a respectable result for a driver making his debut in the division in several years.

The series has also confirmed a group of additional drivers who will rotate through the free‑agent truck over the coming months, including Carson Ferguson, Parker Kligerman and former champion Jamie McMurray.

Ferguson is slated to compete again later in the season at Martinsville Speedway, while Kligerman is set to return to action at Michigan International Speedway in early June.

McMurray will take part in the inaugural race at Qualcomm Circuit on the Naval Base Coronado next month, adding yet another layer of variety to the schedule.
