Elon's men's soccer team opened its season on August 20 with a 3-0 victory over Virginia Military Institute, extending a winning streak that now spans eleven consecutive matches.
The attack was led by forward Jahmir Flowers, who struck first and added a second goal later in the game, while senior captain Martin Kozak sealed the result with a strike following a rebound from the opposing keeper.
Head coach Marc Reeves highlighted the team's improved dynamism and decisiveness in the final third, noting that the chemistry between Kozak and midfielder Dominik Renz generated multiple scoring opportunities.
Looking ahead, the squad travels to Norfolk on August 24 to meet Old Dominion University, a test that will further gauge their depth as they aim to defend the 2025 CAA championship and pursue a berth in the NCAA tournament.
