The University of Jamestown’s men’s basketball program is poised for another milestone as six upperclassmen prepare to anchor the 2026‑27 campaign.
Having amassed 31 victories over their first two collegiate seasons, the returning players bring a proven winning pedigree that helped shepherd the program into Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
Coach Casey Bruggeman highlighted the group’s commitment, noting that their investment over the past two years has forged a culture of accountability and ambition.
Spencer Barr, a senior guard from Aberdeen, South Dakota, will close out his collegiate career with a final chance to cement his legacy, while Malek Wieker, also a senior guard, speaks of the tight‑knit brotherhood that defines the locker room.
Carson Woodford, a fifth‑year forward from Redwood Falls, Minnesota, reflects on the growth he’s witnessed, emphasizing how the program’s leadership model has shaped his development.
Joining him are third‑year standouts Henry Meyer of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Turo Moni of West Fargo, North Dakota, who are eager to build on the foundation laid by their seniors.
Trey Skoglund, another third‑year guard from Oakes, North Dakota, adds that the competitive environment each day fuels his desire to push the team higher.
