Georgia Man Charged in Burglary of NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle’s Home After Plane Crash

Investigators uncover stolen memorabilia, firearms and evidence of financial fraud linked to the late driver’s accounts.

The tragedy that claimed the lives of NASCAR veteran Greg Biffle and his family on December 18, 2023, has taken a dark turn with the arrest of a Georgia man accused of exploiting the aftermath for personal gain.

The Investigation Unfolds

Terrell Williams, 44, is alleged to have entered Biffle’s home after learning of the crash, using a radio‑frequency detector to locate hidden cameras before making off with roughly $30,000 in cash, two Glock handguns, assorted NASCAR memorabilia and a collection of gold and silver coins.

A subsequent investigation revealed that Williams also targeted a second burglary in North Carolina, where a police officer was hospitalized, and that he possessed the same detector during that incident.

Beyond the physical theft, detectives uncovered a web of financial misconduct: unauthorized transfers from Biffle’s bank, Venmo and PayPal accounts, the cashing of fraudulent checks tied to the driver’s business, and attempts to move money across state lines.

The NTSB continues its probe into the crash, while Cobb County police executed an arrest in July 2024, recovering stolen items from Williams’s possession and building a case that includes second‑degree burglary, safe cracking, money laundering and related felonies.
