The Indiana University baseball program, under the guidance of head coach Jeff Mercer, has released its fall schedule, a slate of exhibition games that will run through September and October.
Fall Schedule Unveiled
The Hoosiers will face three Power Four conference opponents alongside a matchup with Huntington University, while the lone out‑of‑state contest takes them to Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, to meet West Virginia.
The season will culminate with a home game against Kentucky on October 16 at Bart Kaufman Field, providing a final test before the competitive spring campaign.
A Revitalized Roster
Returning standouts such as catcher Hogan Denny and outfielder Cole Decker headline a rejuvenated offense, while second‑year players Landen Fry and Owen ten Oever look to build on last season’s contributions.
The roster also welcomes twenty‑four newcomers, including ten transfers who bring Power Four experience from the portal, among them Nate Eisfelder from Tennessee, Kelvyn Paulino Jr. from Florida State, and Ryan Maggy from West Virginia.
Coach Mercer emphasized the blend of veteran leadership and fresh talent, noting that the fall schedule serves both as a developmental platform and a preview of the team’s potential for the upcoming spring season.
The annual Fall World Series is slated for late October, though exact dates have yet to be finalized, leaving fans eager for the first competitive showcase.
