Unified Media Days Take Center Stage
The Big 12 Conference is set to reshape how it engages with the media ahead of the 2026 basketball season, introducing a format that brings both men's and women's programs onto the same day.
Under the new plan, each participating school will present its men's and women's teams together, giving journalists and fans a comprehensive view of the conference's talent in a single session.
The revised schedule will showcase eight schools per day, spreading the coverage across two consecutive days in October, and will be held at the T‑Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Kansas will take the spotlight on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, presenting its men's and women's squads to the press, while Kansas State follows on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with its own joint media session.
Conference officials say the format is designed to maximize exposure, streamline logistics and give each program a dedicated platform while fostering cross‑school interaction among media partners.
