A Season of Momentum
The South Kitsap High School Wolves have reason to celebrate after posting their first winning season since 2012, a milestone that has set the tone for the upcoming 2026 campaign. The victory marks a turning point for a program that has long chased consistency.
A preseason conditioning test put the squad’s physical resolve to the test, with 51 of 93 participants meeting the standard. Coach said the results underscored the team’s commitment to toughness and readiness for the grind ahead.
Competing in the Class 4A South Puget Sound League, the Wolves face a gauntlet of elite opponents each week. Last year they broke through by defeating Rogers and Emerald Ridge in divisional play, proving they can match the league’s top teams.
Key Players to Watch
Senior defensive standout Caleb Strobel is expected to anchor the line, while quarterback duties will fall to Bailey Kaiser. Kaiser’s primary targets include Dyvonte Sellers, Jonah Griffin and Josh Traslavina, giving the offense a balanced mix of speed and size.
The coaching staff has highlighted the importance of leadership from the senior class, noting that Strobel’s potential college pathway adds extra motivation to the group’s preparation.
A Packed Schedule
Before league play begins, the Wolves will test themselves against non‑league opponents such as North Creek, Bellarmine Prep and Wenatchee. Home games against Rogers and Emerald Ridge will serve as pivotal moments to showcase progress in front of local fans.
The team’s rallying cry, “keep moving forward,” reflects a focus on effort and unity, rather than complacency after last season’s success.
Looking Beyond a One‑Off Success
Leadership believes the 2025 breakthrough was not a fluke but the result of disciplined execution and attention to detail. By emphasizing those principles, the Wolves hope to sustain momentum and avoid a regression when the pressure intensifies.
