Weather‑driven schedule change
The Dollar Tree 301 NASCAR Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will now take place at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, August 23, after forecasters predicted severe weather that threatened the original 3 p.m. slot.
To accommodate the earlier start, the speedway has moved up the opening of parking facilities to 7 a.m., ticket booths to 8:30 a.m., gates to 10 a.m. and the Cup Series garage to 11 a.m., giving fans extra time to settle before the green flag.
Broadcast and fan access
Live coverage will be provided by USA Network, the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM Radio on channel 90, while fans can enter the track from 11:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, allowing a full hour of pre‑race activity before the command to start engines at 2 p.m.
The Drivers’ Meeting is set for 1 p.m., followed by driver introductions at 1:25 p.m., after which the iconic ‘Drivers, Start Your Engines!’ command will be given at 2 p.m., with the race officially beginning 20 minutes later.
Weekend supporting series and practice
Saturday’s schedule includes a 10:35 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. practice and qualifying session for the Cup Series, a 1:30 p.m. CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race, and a 4:30 p.m. Whelen Modified Tour event, creating a packed program across the three NASCAR divisions.
Ticket buyers can take advantage of discounted rates for children 12 and under on Sunday and free admission on Saturday, with purchases available through NHMS.com or by calling 833‑4LOUDON.
For the most up‑to‑date information, fans are encouraged to monitor the speedway’s official website and social channels, @NHMotorSpeedway and @NHMS, which will post any further adjustments or announcements.
