A packed slate ahead
Utah Baseball has unveiled its 2027 schedule, a 54‑game campaign that blends a robust home presence with a demanding road circuit. The season kicks off with three non‑conference tournaments that will take the team from the deserts of Arizona to the baseball‑rich fields of Texas and the Gulf Coast of Houston.
The first test comes in the Desert Invitational in Arizona, followed by the Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi and the Bruce Bolt College Classic in Houston. Each event will pit Utah against a mix of regional powerhouses, and the schedule also includes exhibition matchups against the Salt Lake Bees, Utah Tech and Utah Valley, giving fans a first look at the new roster.
Home games will be anchored in Salt Lake City, where Utah will host 23 contests. Among the opponents slated for the home stand are four teams that reached the 2026 NCAA Tournament, including Northern Colorado, Cincinnati and Kansas State, underscoring the competitive nature of the slate.
The centerpiece of the conference schedule is the Big 12 Tournament, scheduled for May 25‑29 in Surprise, Arizona. The winner of that tournament earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, making those final days a make-or-break moment for the Utes as they chase a postseason berth.
Historically, Utah has been a consistent presence on the national stage, advancing to ten of the last eleven Men’s College World Series. That pedigree adds a layer of expectation to the 2027 campaign, as the program looks to extend its streak of deep tournament runs.
Guiding the team through this ambitious schedule is head coach Gary Henderson, whose experience and strategic vision have become a cornerstone of the program’s recent success. Under his leadership, the Utes hope to translate a rigorous schedule into another strong postseason showing.
