Northwestern State Reveals 2026 Home Game Kickoff Times
Northwestern State University has unveiled the kickoff times for its 2026 home football slate at Turpin Stadium, marking the start of a season that blends tradition with a fresh schedule of afternoon and early‑evening contests.
The campaign opens on August 27 with a home matchup against Louisiana Christian, slated for a 7 p.m. start, giving fans a prime Thursday night experience to kick off the year.
A week later, the Demons travel to face Southeastern in their first Southland Conference home game, which will begin at 6 p.m., setting the tone for a series of early‑evening contests.
As the calendar shifts toward fall, the final four home games are all scheduled to begin at or before 2 p.m., including a noon showdown against McNeese on Oct. 17, a 2 p.m. Homecoming clash with Nicholls on Oct. 24, and concluding victories over UTRGV and HCU, each set for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
Beyond the gridiron, the university will host the Top of the Boot Music Festival on campus, featuring performances by country stars Lee Brice, Dylan Scott, and Rodney Atkins, creating a unique crossover of sport and music for the student body and the wider community.
