Brandon Inniss, a senior wide receiver and returning captain, was singled out for a season that combined 35 catches for 271 yards and three touchdowns with a pivotal role on special teams, where he logged five kick returns for 66 yards and 17 punt returns for 181 yards, earning All‑Big Ten Special Teams Honorable Mention.
Beyond his athletic contributions, Inniss added academic luster to his résumé, collecting CSC Academic All‑District, Academic All‑Big Ten Conference and OSU Scholar‑Athlete honors, underscoring the program’s emphasis on the student‑athlete model.
The Block 'O' award, named after legendary defensive end Bill Willis, is presented annually to a Buckeye who embodies the values of toughness, accountability and leadership that Willis displayed when he broke the color barrier in professional football.
Willis, an All‑American and national champion at Ohio State before forging a Hall‑of‑Fame NFL career, remains a touchstone for the program; his retired No. 99 jersey stands as a reminder that the Block 'O' recipient traditionally dons jersey number 0.
