The United States Hockey League (USHL) will host its 2026 High Performance Camp from June 12 to 14 at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, offering an intensive three‑day experience for the nation’s most promising 2011‑ and 2012‑born players. The invite‑only event is designed for elite prospects who will undergo advanced performance testing, cognitive and hockey‑IQ assessments, and on‑ice competition, while gaining direct access to the league’s senior decision‑makers.
A Gateway to Elite Development
The camp is co‑hosted by USHL Senior Director of Player Personnel Frank Butler and USHL President and Commissioner Glenn Hefferan, who will present insights into the pathway from junior hockey to NCAA Division I and professional opportunities.
The USHL’s player‑first philosophy is reflected in its 2:1 practice‑to‑game ratio and a schedule in which 90 % of games are played on weekends, maximizing development while accommodating academic commitments.
Since 2020 the league has produced more than 285 direct NHL Draft picks, and a majority of NCAA Division I men’s hockey players and nearly a quarter of current NHL participants have previously honed their skills in the USHL, underscoring the league’s role as a premier development platform.
