Georgetown University assistant coach LaDontae Henton has been named among the 25 participants selected for the inaugural NABC Flight School, a new development program launched by the National Association of Basketball Coaches in partnership with Nike.
A Platform for Growth
The invitation‑only event will convene emerging assistant coaches and athletic administrators for a series of workshops, panel discussions and mock interviews at Nike’s campus near Portland, Oregon, on May 21.
NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson said the initiative is designed to accelerate professional growth and to equip the next generation of sports leaders with practical tools and a robust network.
Selection of the cohort involved consultation with a range of college‑sport stakeholders, underscoring the collaborative nature of the program and its alignment with broader efforts to strengthen coaching pipelines across the country.
Beyond the classroom sessions, participants will engage in networking activities that connect them with industry mentors, fostering relationships that could shape the future of basketball administration.
The Flight School represents a significant investment by Nike in the development of coaching talent, reflecting the company’s long‑standing commitment to grassroots basketball and its belief that innovative leadership drives the sport forward.
