Morgane Zinn was the catalyst, notching two goals, the first of which came in the 57th minute and sealed her inaugural multi‑goal performance for the program.
Freshman forward Kingsley Hughes also found the net on her debut, adding a marker that underscored the team's depth.
A historic unbeaten start
The win lifted Richmond to 2‑0‑1, marking just the third time in the past 25 seasons that the squad has avoided a loss in its first three matches.
Statistically, the Spiders outshot Queens 24‑8, with a 14‑5 edge in shots on goal, while Veronica Rrapi and Isabel Seifert combined for the second shutout in three games, the latter making four saves after halftime.
The team will next travel to face Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, kicking off at 2 p.m. as they look to extend their early momentum on the road.
