Brandon Mason Jr., a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Missouri, announced his commitment to Xavier University on August 23, 2024, becoming the first player to join the Musketeers’ Class of 2027.
Ranked as the No. 7 shooting guard nationally, Mason brings a blend of size and skill that has drawn attention from analysts and coaches alike.
He transferred to Link Academy for his senior year after a standout stint in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and during the recruitment cycle he considered a shortlist that included Boise State, Grand Canyon, Ohio State and his home state university.
Mason’s list of suitors spanned nearly two dozen Division I programs, with offers from Washington, TCU, San Jose State, Nevada and UNLV among others, underscoring the breadth of his appeal.
