The United Soccer Coaches have announced their 2025‑26 Team Academic Award recipients, recognizing programs that blend athletic competition with strong classroom performance. Lock Haven's women's soccer team earned a spot among the 801 programs — 338 men's and 463 women's — that posted a collective GPA of at least 3.0.
What set the Bald Eagles apart was a team average of 3.58, the highest among the honorees, a figure compiled under the guidance of head coach Patrick Long. The award underscores the program's dual focus on competitive play and academic rigor.

Looking ahead, the squad is slated to open the 2026 season with a non‑conference matchup against Millersville on August 27 at 4 p.m., a game that will test the blend of scholarly discipline and on‑field readiness that earned the accolade.
