The lights were blazing over Grandview Speedway on a Saturday night that felt like a celebration of the track’s storied NASCAR heritage, drawing a crowd eager to witness both seasoned contenders and rising stars.
Kressley’s Late Surge Seals Third Modified Victory
Brett Kressley, starting from the eleventh position, worked his way forward and seized the lead from Tim Buckwalter on lap ten, holding off a charging field to claim his third win of the season and his 36th overall triumph at the Pennsylvania venue.
The victory came after a chaotic opening lap that saw Darrin Schuler initially take the lead before a restart shuffled the order, setting the stage for Kressley’s climb through lapped traffic.
Laubach’s First Career Sportsman Win
In the Sportsman division, Matthew Laubach battled side‑by‑side with Xavier Sprague before pulling ahead on lap thirteen, surviving two late restarts that featured Jordan Henn and Brad Brightbill to record his first career win.
Both drivers were rewarded with bonus payments from T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment, with Kressley taking home $300 and Laubach $200, a nod to the series’ growing support.
The night also featured heat‑race successes for Kaitlyn Bailey, Brett Grim and Jordan Henn, while Logan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., and other competitors battled throughout the card, highlighting the depth of local talent.
Grandview Speedway will continue its tradition of Saturday night racing, with a program on August 29 that again pairs Modifieds and Sportsman cars, followed by championship nights and special events in September, keeping the track’s legacy alive for fans across Pennsylvania and beyond.
