Olivia Stafford, a rising sophomore at Vanderbilt University, has been named to the United States Under-19 Women’s National Team that will contest a two‑match series against Germany in Frankfurt on June 5 and June 9.
This marks the second straight year that Stafford has received a call‑up to the U.S. roster, having previously represented the country against Argentina’s U‑19 side. Her consistent performances have made her a staple in the national program.
A Milestone for Vanderbilt
Stafford’s selection underscores the growing impact of Vanderbilt’s women’s soccer program on the international stage. She was a key contributor to the Commodores’ 2025 season, logging eight assists and five goals while earning a spot on the SEC All‑Freshman Team.
The Commodores captured the SEC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight, a run that highlighted Stafford’s eight‑assist streak across five consecutive games — a rare feat that showcased her playmaking ability.
She will join another SEC player on the 18‑player roster, making the conference one of only two to be represented among the selected athletes. This dual presence reflects the competitive depth of SEC women’s soccer.
The upcoming fixtures in Frankfurt will serve as a crucial developmental opportunity for the young U.S. squad as it prepares for future international competitions. Stafford’s experience, combined with her collegiate achievements, positions her as a pivotal figure in the team’s midfield.
