Metro Conference Announces 2026‑27 Women’s Basketball slate
The Metro Conference recently released its full schedule for the 2026‑27 women’s basketball season, a slate that includes 13 member institutions and a heavy emphasis on conference play.
Mount St. Mary’s will navigate a 32‑game campaign that blends 20 conference matchups with a selection of non‑conference opponents, giving the team ample opportunity to test itself early.
All home contests are slated for Knott Arena, where the program will host 14 games, mirroring the previous season’s total and reinforcing the venue’s role as a central hub.
The first home stretch arrives in mid‑December, with matchups against Niagara on the 19th and Canisius on the 21st, both tipped off at 1 p.m.
January will see a run of five consecutive home games against Rider, Sacred Heart, Manhattan, Iona and Fairfield, providing a busy stretch for fans.
The schedule also includes five road contests, highlighted by a special Kids’ Day appearance against Saint Peter’s on February 4 at 11 a.m., an event designed to engage younger audiences.
Attendance figures from the prior season placed the team third in the conference and gave it the highest capacity rate among Division I programs in the region, underscoring strong local support.
A 9‑5 record at Knott Arena last year reflects the home‑court advantage the team hopes to build upon, while men’s basketball season ticket holders will be eligible to attend many of the women’s games.
