Jacques Bouquot Joins Jacksonville Icemen for 2026‑27 Season

The Ohio forward brings collegiate experience and ECHL depth to the franchise

The Jacksonville Icemen have announced the signing of forward Jacques Bouquot for the 2026‑27 ECHL season, bringing a seasoned Ohio native back into the fold for his fourth professional campaign.

A collegiate foundation

Bouquot spent four seasons at the University of Vermont, where he served as team captain in his final year and helped guide the Catamounts to a competitive resurgence before moving on to Penn State for his last year of eligibility.

At Penn State he logged 77 points across 143 games, a span that underscored his consistency and offensive versatility.

His professional trajectory includes stints with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL and multiple ECHL teams, most recently the Toledo Walleye, where he posted 18 points in the 2025‑26 campaign.

After being dealt to Jacksonville in a February 2025 multi‑player trade, Bouquot appeared in 21 games for the Icemen last season, contributing six points before the latest contract was inked.

Looking ahead

The Icemen hope Bouquot’s blend of college pedigree and ECHL experience will bolster their forward lines as they chase a playoff berth, with the Ohio native eager to make an impact in his home state.
