A Quiet Exit and a New Chapter
Bryan Faulds stepped down as the head baseball coach at the University of Akron after completing three seasons, ending a tenure that delivered a 56‑107 overall record and a 30‑63 mark in the Mid‑American Conference.
He is now set to join the University of Washington, where he will serve as the recruiting coordinator for the Huskies, bringing his player‑development experience to a new recruiting pipeline.
During his time in Akron, two pitchers — Brody Chrisman and Blake Bowen — earned All‑MAC honors, underscoring the talent he helped cultivate despite the program’s overall struggles.
Before arriving at Akron, Faulds led St. Edward's University to a 72‑43 record and consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional in 2022 and 2023, a period that culminated in a No. 20 national ranking by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
His coaching background also includes a stint as pitching coach at Ohio University from 2015 to 2017 and earlier roles at the College of San Mateo and Western Illinois University, grounding his approach in diverse collegiate environments.
