A Strategic Addition for the Knights
Robert Gerity has officially joined the Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s basketball program as an assistant coach, bringing a blend of analytical expertise and on‑court experience to the staff.
His career path has been marked by a focus on data‑driven player development. After earning a Master of Education at Iona College, where he also served as a graduate assistant, he honed his analytical skills while supporting the Gaels’ program.
Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Xavier University and spent two years as a manager for the Musketeers’ men’s basketball team, gaining a front‑row view of program operations.
His coaching roots also stretch back to Turpin High School in Ohio, where he headed the junior varsity boys basketball team, laying groundwork for his later rise in college athletics.
Immediate Impact
With the Knights’ 2026‑27 season slated to open in November, Gerity will be on the bench from day one, ready to contribute to strategy, scouting and player growth.
