Bison Gear Up for 2026 Kickoff

Bucknell University’s football team will open its 2026 season on August 29 with a road contest against Richmond, kicking off at 6 p.m.

It will mark the first time under head coach Jeff Behrman that the Bison take the field, as he assumes the program’s top coaching role for the first time in school history.

The matchup represents the fourth meeting between the two schools, a series that Richmond currently leads 3‑1, though Bucknell secured the most recent victory in 2025 by a 33‑28 margin.

Both programs will field familiar faces, with senior standouts Sam Milligan and Brandon Biagiarelli returning for their final collegiate campaigns and earning preseason recognition on the 2026 Patriot League All‑Team.

Milligan also earned a spot on the Walter Payton Award Preseason Watch List and was named to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All‑America Second Team, while Milligan and Biagiarelli were highlighted on the conference’s preseason squad.

Richmond will rely on senior quarterback Ashten Snelsire and running back Aziz Foster‑Powell, who were key contributors in the 2025 offense.

A New Coaching Era

Behrman’s staff will be largely new, with only safeties coach McNeil Parker returning, signaling a fresh approach to preparation and strategy.

The schedule also includes a home opener against Georgetown on November 21 and a first‑time matchup with ACC opponent Pitt, while the expanded Patriot League slate promises a rigorous conference campaign.

All games will be streamed on ESPN+ and aired on 1070 AM (WKOK), with live coverage available through BucknellBison.com.
