The first week of the 2026 Ohio high school football season unfolded with a clear message: the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) is poised to dominate non‑conference matchups.
Princeton opened its campaign with a 31‑14 victory over Archbishop Moeller, a result that highlighted both offensive firepower and a disruptive defense, featuring Jordan Hall’s 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns, plus three turnovers including a pick‑6.
While star recruit Lorenzo McMullen Jr., ranked No. 25 nationally, saw limited action with just four catches for 23 yards, the Princeton offense still moved the ball effectively.
Fairfield also secured a 35‑25 win against Wayne, a triumph made easier by the absence of five‑star Ohio State commit Jamier Brown from the Wayne lineup.

Lakota West, ranked 24th in the state, downed St. X 20‑7, and Lakota East rolled past Centerville 41‑14. Oak Hills also posted a 49‑20 victory over Edgewood.
Colerain’s 30‑21 loss to La Salle was marred by a controversial incident that will be reviewed by league officials.
