University of Toledo Unveils Enhanced Gameday Experience for 2026 Rocket Football Season

VIP upgrades, personalized video board messages, and revived traditions debut ahead of the season opener on ESPN+

The University of Toledo Athletic Department has announced a suite of new gameday experiences for the 2026 Rocket Football season, set to roll out in the weeks leading up to the team's first home contest. Fans will be able to purchase these upgrades online starting two weeks before each home game, with the season opener against Central Connecticut State streamed on ESPN+ on September 12.

VIP Perks and Personalized Video Board Messages

Among the highlights are VIP access packages that grant exclusive amenities, and a novel feature that lets supporters inscribe custom messages and photos onto the Glass Bowl’s video board. These personalized displays will appear during the game, adding a unique visual element for both the fan and the team.

Traditional elements are also making a comeback. The Touchdown Tank, live music performances on Saturday afternoons, and a Kids Zone filled with inflatables and games will all be part of the pregame festivities. The Rocket Walk, where supporters line the path to cheer the team onto the field, returns as a fan‑favorite ritual.

Additional amenities include a Big Screen TV in Lot 10 on Saturdays, allowing tailgaters to catch the action while enjoying their own food and drinks. All of these experiences are offered in limited quantities, prompting interested attendees to secure their upgrades through the online portal as soon as they become available.

To participate, fans must already hold a valid ticket for the game, and purchases can be completed via the Rocket Ticket Office’s website, phone line, text service, or in‑person at the office. Season tickets and three‑game mini‑plans remain on sale, providing a cost‑effective way to follow the Rockets throughout the campaign.
