Charlotte Men's Soccer has secured an 18th‑place spot in the latest United Soccer Coaches national poll, marking the 19th consecutive season the program has finished inside the Top 25 since the survey began in 1996.
The campaign got off to a commanding start when the 49ers rolled past West Virginia 3‑0, a result that featured two goals from senior forward Mikey Raggett, who earned Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Freshman midfielder Eirikur Beck contributed an assist on Raggett’s opening strike and was recognized with Freshman of the Week accolades, while goalkeeper Alex Svetanoff turned in three saves that earned him an Honorable Mention.
A 1‑1 draw with Wofford followed, underscoring the team’s resilience on home turf before they head to Burlington, Vermont, for a much‑anticipated road test on August 28.
Road Test Ahead
The upcoming match will be streamed live on ESPN+, adding national visibility to a schedule that already features the only American Conference side in the Top 25, while Missouri State garners nine votes.
