The event is part of a broader reshaping of the schedule that adds four new street and road courses, including the iconic Circuit of the Americas in Austin, the scenic Sonoma Raceway in California and the historic Watkins Glen International in New York. The inaugural race at the naval base produced dramatic storylines, with Corey Heim capturing his first Cup Series victory, Austin Hill winning the O'Reilly Auto Parts event and Layne Riggs taking the Truck Series checkered flag.
