NASCAR is set to return to Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego for a two‑day race weekend in July 2027, bringing the Cup Series and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series to the West Coast.
The event will take place from July 30 to August 1, 2027, with the Cup Series street race scheduled for August 1 and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on July 31.
A Milestone Partnership
The track, known as the Qualcomm Circuit, is a 3.4‑mile, 16‑turn layout that hosted the inaugural Anduril 250 in June 2026, a race won by Corey Heim, marking his first Cup Series victory in 13 years.
NASCAR San Diego President Amy Lupo praised the partnership with the U.S. Navy, saying the event underscores a collaboration that celebrates service members and the San Diego community.
Navy Community Night on July 30 will offer free admission to sailors and Coronado residents, providing a chance to honor military service while enjoying top‑level racing.
Broadcast, Tickets, and Future Growth
The Cup Series race will be broadcast live on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max, while the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race will air on The CW and the ESPN App. Tickets for the 2027 event will be available later, with presale opportunities through nascarsandiego.com.
The Defense Department plans to expand this partnership to other U.S. military installations in 2028, aiming to bring the excitement of NASCAR to more service members and their families nationwide.
