NASCAR Returns to Coronado for 2027 Spectacle
The sanctioning body announced that the NASCAR San Diego Weekend will unfold on July 30 through August 1, 2027, at the historic Naval Air Station North Island. Racing fans will experience the 16‑turn, 3.4‑mile Qualcomm Circuit as the venue for both the Cup Series and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.
NASCAR San Diego President Amy Lupo reflected on the 2026 edition, noting the electric fan energy, the partnership with the U.S. Navy and the strong community support that helped the event thrive. Her remarks underscored the weekend’s role as a showcase for both sport and the San Diego region.
Broadcast details were confirmed: the Cup Series race on August 1 will stream live on TNT, truTV and HBO Max, while the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series event on July 31 will air on The CW and the ESPN App, giving viewers multiple pathways to follow the action.
A special Navy Community Night on July 30 will grant free access to sailors and Coronado residents, reinforcing the race’s dedication to military families and highlighting the U.S. Armed Forces’ mission through NASCAR’s national platform.
A Milestone Victory
Corey Heim captured the inaugural Anduril 250 in June 2026, securing his first Cup Series victory in 13 years and adding a memorable chapter to the series’ growing narrative.
Looking ahead, NASCAR and the Defense Department plan to expand the military‑base street race concept to additional U.S. installations in 2028, building on the momentum generated by the Coronado weekend.
Tickets for the 2027 event will be released later, and interested fans can sign up for presale access at nascarsandiego.com, ensuring early entry to what promises to be a landmark weekend.
