A New Chapter for the Aggies
Utah State Aggies head coach Ben Jacobson announced the signing of transfer guard Dallin Hall, who will join the program for the 2026‑27 season after completing four years of college basketball across two power‑conference programs.
Hall’s résumé reads like a modern‑day point‑guard archetype: 986 career points, 570 assists, 383 rebounds and 112 steals over 136 games, including 97 starts. At Virginia he started every game of a 30‑6 campaign that ended as the ACC Tournament runner‑up and peaked at No. 9 in the AP Poll.
During his senior year in Charlottesville he led the ACC in assist‑to‑turnover ratio at 3.27, dishing out 157 assists while turning the ball over just 48 times, a performance that helped the Cavaliers secure a top‑ten ranking and a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
Prior to his Virginia stint, Hall spent three seasons at BYU, where he contributed to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2023‑24, and earned All‑Big 12 honorable‑mention honors as a sophomore after averaging 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
Before college, Hall was a three‑time all‑state selection at Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah, where he capped his prep career with a 23‑3 record, a state title and the distinction of 6A Mr. Basketball while averaging 22.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
Off the court, Hall served a two‑year missionary assignment for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑Day Saints in Fresno, California, an experience that has shaped his leadership style and work ethic.
Coach Jacobson believes Hall’s blend of scoring, playmaking and defensive intensity will immediately elevate the Aggies’ tempo and depth, positioning Utah State as a contender in the Mountain West and beyond.
