Smith’s journey to this role began on the court, where she led the varsity team to multiple state tournament appearances and earned CHS Athlete of the Year honors. Her family’s coaching tradition runs deep — her father Chris Smith and brothers CJ and Hunter also coach at Coupeville High, creating a unique blend of personal and professional heritage.
Before stepping into the head‑coach position, Smith served as the varsity volleyball coach and as a JV basketball mentor, stepping in temporarily when Megan Richter took maternity leave.
