Tyler Reddick Discusses Sleep Apnea Diagnosis and CPAP Therapy Ahead of 2026 NASCAR Season

The driver’s collaboration with Resmed aims to spotlight sleep health in motorsports

Tyler Reddick, the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion, revealed earlier this year that he has been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that can silently undermine health and performance if left untreated.

The revelation came as Reddick prepared for the upcoming 2026 season, during which he will begin using continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, therapy to manage the disorder.

He described how the diagnosis was initially met with skepticism, recalling nights of loud snoring, persistent morning headaches and a lingering sense of low energy that he had dismissed as mere fatigue.

Obstructive sleep apnea affects an estimated one billion people worldwide, yet more than 80% remain undiagnosed, leaving them vulnerable to serious complications such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

Racing Toward Better Sleep

To tackle the issue head‑on, Reddick has teamed up with Resmed, a global leader in sleep technology, in a partnership that will see the company’s branding featured on his car at select races in Bristol, Talladega and Homestead.

The collaboration is more than a sponsorship; it is a concerted effort to educate fans and fellow competitors about the importance of screening for sleep apnea and the benefits of early intervention.

Reddick hopes his story will encourage others to listen to their bodies, seek medical advice and consider CPAP therapy as a viable path to better health and competitive edge.
