Teams that dominated last year are being redistributed, while fresh programs are stepping onto the field with ambitions of their own.
A fresh competitive landscape
South Western enters the new campaign as the reigning champion of both Division I and the league tournament, having finished the 2025 regular season with a 14‑2‑1 record and an 11‑1 mark within the division. The team will rely on returning all‑stars Kyleigh Minnier and Peyton Shaffer, who will anchor the attack despite the loss of Division I Player of the Year Carly Louey and second‑team all‑star Ashlyn Trone.
Division II is shaping up to be a tight race between West York and York Suburban, who finished second and third respectively in 2025 with records of 8‑4 and 7‑3‑2. Both squads bring back first‑team all‑stars Addie Denenberg of York Suburban and Cam Forsythe of West York, promising a battle that could decide the division’s ultimate standings.
Division III introduces three newcomers — James Buchanan, Big Spring and Shalom Christian — while veteran programs Bermudian Springs, Fairfield and York Catholic move up to test themselves at a higher level. Returning Division III first‑team all‑stars Dorothy Grim of Delone Catholic and Arlett Diaz of Biglerville will look to guide their teams through the transition.
Beyond the established powers, a wave of newcomers is poised to make an impact. Ghaziat Aroworowon of Susquehannock, Kacey Barrick of Big Spring and Kyra Byron of Littlestown are among the fresh talents highlighted as players to watch as the season opens.
