A Milestone for Women’s Sports
Unrivaled, the fast‑growing 3‑on‑3 women’s basketball league, announced a $650 million Series C funding round that nearly doubles its valuation from a year earlier. The round was led by Ten Pillar Sports Fund, with backing from UC Investments, and values the league’s player equity at nearly $200 million — a 550 percent increase since the league’s inception.
The infusion of capital will accelerate the league’s eight‑stop tour schedule for 2027, beginning in early January, and will support the expansion of team rosters and fan‑engagement initiatives. Unrivaled also secured a six‑year media rights agreement with TNT, positioning the sport for broader exposure despite last season’s rating dip caused by competing events such as the Olympics and the College Football Playoff.
League president Alex Bazzell said the investment reflects investors’ confidence in the league’s vision, while co‑founder Breanna Stewart highlighted the role of the funding in growing the platform and supporting players. The league aims to elevate women’s basketball and shape its future through this strategic partnership.
