Villanova’s men’s basketball team released its 2026‑27 non‑conference schedule on August 26, 2024, setting the stage for a season that blends home‑court tradition with global travel.
The home opener arrives on Friday, November 6, when the Wildcats host Holy Cross. Earlier in the month, the squad will stage three exhibition contests in October against Rutgers, George Mason and Virginia, the latter of which was previously encountered in Charlottesville, Virginia.
A highlight of the international portion comes on Sunday, November 1, when Villanova travels to Rome, Italy, to meet Notre Dame in a highly anticipated matchup. The following week, the team returns to Philadelphia to host La Salle on Tuesday, November 10, before heading to Temple on Tuesday, December 1.
The Big 5 Classic will take place on Saturday, December 5, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, featuring one of Drexel, Penn or Saint Joseph’s as the opponent. Additional road tests include a visit to Kansas on Friday, November 27, and a home game against Pitt on Tuesday, November 17.
Later in the month, Villanova will host Coppin State on Tuesday, November 24, and welcome Michigan to the Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, November 21. The schedule also includes a home clash with Wisconsin on Saturday, December 12, and a game against Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, December 9.
