A Later Date for the Cracker Barrel 400
The 2027 NASCAR Cup Series event at Nashville Superspeedway will now take place on June 6, pushing the Cracker Barrel 400 deeper into the summer schedule compared with its May 31 slot in 2026.
The change comes after a weather‑delayed 2025 race that stretched into the early hours of the next day and culminated in a dramatic victory for Denny Hamlin, who claimed his second consecutive Cracker Barrel 400 win.
The weekend will feature a tripleheader, beginning on June 4 with the Craftsman Truck Series Allegiance 200, followed by the O'Reilly Series Sports Illustrated Resorts 250 on June 5, and culminating with the Cup race on June 6. All three events have generated strong demand, with five of the six Cup dates at the track already sold out.
Fan Momentum and Track Leadership
General manager Matt Greci has highlighted the electric atmosphere that Nashville Superspeedway cultivates, noting that the venue’s deep roots in the community translate into enthusiastic support from fans who travel from across the country.
Mike Organ, a longtime advocate for the track’s operations, echoed Greci’s sentiment, emphasizing that the combination of historic racing heritage and modern fan experiences positions the 2027 tripleheader as a marquee moment on the NASCAR calendar.
The broader 2027 season kicks off with the Clash at Daytona on February 13 and the Daytona 500 on February 21, before a full slate of 38 Cup events unfolds throughout the year. Broadcast rights will see the first 14 races on FOX Sports, with the remainder split among Prime, TNT and USA Sports, ensuring wide‑reaching coverage for viewers.
Tickets for the Nashville tripleheader are currently on sale through NSStickets, giving supporters the opportunity to secure seats for what promises to be a high‑energy weekend that blends tradition with the excitement of a shifting schedule.
