A Strategic Addition for the Norse Program
Norwich University has named Dylan Trombley as its new assistant basketball coach, a move that underscores the program’s intent to strengthen its roster ahead of the upcoming season.
Trombley arrives after a four‑year tenure at Plattsburgh State University, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the Cardinals to two SUNYAC semifinal appearances and to a season that ranked first in points per game and second in field‑goal percentage in the 2024‑25 campaign.
During that period he was credited with leading the conference in steals and blocks per game, and with developing the 2025‑26 SUNYAC Player of the Year as well as an NABC All‑American.
His playing career at SUNY Oneonta was equally distinguished; he earned All‑SUNYAC Second Team honors, captured the league’s top three‑point percentage in 2018‑19, and helped the team to multiple conference successes.
A native of Moriah, New York, Trombley holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from SUNY Oneonta and a Master of Science in Fitness and Wellness Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh, credentials that complement his coaching expertise.
