Preseason Honors
The 2025 preseason awards have already begun to shape expectations for the upcoming college football season, spotlighting a handful of standout Gators who are poised to make an impact on the field.
Jadan Baugh, the junior running back, has been singled out for his explosive rushing numbers, logging 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns last year. His performance earned him a spot on the Doak Walker Award watch list and a first‑team All‑American nod from ESPN and CBS Sports.
Baugh’s versatility also landed him on the Paul Hornung Award list, underscoring his impact both on the ground and as a receiver with 21 catches for 185 yards.
Dallas Wilson, a redshirt freshman, broke out in his debut, recording 12 receptions for 174 yards and three touchdowns, a feat that secured him a place on the Shaun Alexander Freshman Watch List and SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
Ben Hanks III, a redshirt cornerback, contributed eight tackles, two pass breakups and an interception in limited action, earning him a spot on the same freshman watch list.
Other Gators also received recognition. Vernell Brown III was selected to the preseason Coaches’ All‑SEC team and earned Freshman All‑SEC honors as a return specialist, amassing 261 return yards. Myles Graham made the Butkus Award watch list after leading the SEC with 76 tackles, while Alec Clark, a transfer punter, appeared on the Ray Guy list after averaging 46.5 yards per punt.
Patrick Durkin, a kicker, was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list after converting 25 of 28 field goals, and Harrison Moore, a transfer center, earned a spot on the Rimington Trophy watch list.
The collective presence of Gators on these watch lists reflects the program’s depth and the competitive nature of the SEC, where the semifinalists and finalists for the Doak Walker Award will be announced in November, with the winner to be revealed on December 10, 2026.
