From her early days as the No. 1 overall pick in 2010 to her retirement in 2026, Charles left an indelible imprint on the franchise and on the broader basketball community.

Over fifteen seasons, Charles amassed 8,396 points, placing her among the most prolific scorers in WNBA history. Her No. 31 jersey was raised to the rafters at Mohegan Sun Arena, a permanent reminder of her impact on the franchise and a source of inspiration for future generations.
Giving Back
In 2013, Charles donated her entire WNBA salary to Hopey’s Heart Foundation, a tribute to her late aunt Maureen Vaz. The contribution helped fund the construction of a school in Mali and supported a series of sports‑safety clinics across New York City, initiatives she collectively branded as Hopey’s Week.
