A historic comeback
The Wheatley Vodka Clash is set to roar back onto the high‑banked oval of Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2027, marking the first edition of the event in five years and anchoring the opening weekend of Speedweeks.
Originally contested from 1979 through 2020, the Clash last saw Erik Jones take the checkered flag in 2020 before the series moved to venues such as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium.
Full Throttle Festival makes its comeback
In 2027 the race will be anchored by nine consecutive days of on‑track activity, culminating in the return of Bert Kreischer’s Full Throttle Festival on February 20, a celebration that blends music, food and automotive culture.
The schedule also serves as the season opener for the ARCA Menards Series, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, giving teams and drivers a first chance to test their new equipment on Daytona’s famous banking.
For the NASCAR Cup Series, the Daytona 500 will headline the weekend on February 13, followed by qualifying sessions and additional races that set the tone for the championship.
Tyler Reddick captured the 2026 Daytona 500, becoming the first driver for 23XI Racing to win the sport’s most prestigious event, and he now aims to repeat the feat in 2027 while also targeting a double victory that includes the Coke Zero Sugar 400 later in the season — a combination last achieved by Jimmie Johnson in 2013.
