Interim head coach Anthony Romero steps into the role after Justin Hansen’s medical leave, bringing a clear vision to restore pride to the Cabrillo Seahawks. The program, which stumbled to a 2‑8 record last year, is now focused on turning those defeats into stepping stones for a competitive 2026 campaign.
Romero inherits a 43‑player roster that mixes ten sophomores with a host of veterans and fresh talent. Returning offensive linemen Jackson Stevens, Darian Regino and Pablo Valle anchor the line, while quarterback Mario Cosma looks to build on his previous experience. The defense gains a boost from Justice Grauel‑Tebong, who returns after a two‑year hiatus, and a wave of newcomers such as Myles Reber and Belay Brummel, both recruited from NCAA Division I programs.
The schedule is packed with matches against Chabot, Feather River, Contra Costa, San Joaquin Delta, Los Medanos, Coalinga, Hartnell, Gavilan, Merced and Shasta, culminating in a showdown with the perennial rival Hartnell.
