NASCAR has unveiled its full 2027 racing calendar, confirming a season that kicks off on February 21 at Daytona International Speedway and wraps up in mid‑November at Homestead‑Miami Speedway.
A Revamped Homestead Finale
The championship weekend will return to Homestead after a two‑decade absence, now backed by a $20 million capital project that promises upgraded fan amenities and a more immersive experience.
Before the Daytona 500, fans will enjoy the Clash exhibition race at the same venue, setting the stage for a year that also includes a May 23 All‑Star event at North Wilkesboro Speedway and a August 1 race at Naval Base Coronado honoring military personnel.
The schedule also marks a return to the West Coast, with Cup and Xfinity Series events slated for San Diego, California, while the traditional Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway will close out the regular season on September 5. Pocono Raceway will host all three national series during its June weekend, adding variety to the calendar.
Beyond the single event at Coronado, NASCAR and the Department of Defense have announced a multiyear partnership that could bring additional races to other U.S. military installations starting in 2028, expanding the sport’s connection to service members and their communities.
