The Boone girls' soccer team posted a 5‑2 victory over Des Moines East on Tuesday, snapping a stretch of mixed results and moving to a 4‑7‑4 record.
Whitney Chesnut was the catalyst, finding the net twice and adding an assist that set up a third goal, while Macy Chesnut, Emmalyn Thomas and Jaelyn Addy each contributed a marker.
In goal, Reese Majors turned in eight saves, posting an 80 percent save rate that kept the opposition at bay after they rallied in the second half.

Boone will next travel to face Newton, hoping to build on the win and climb further out of the lower half of the conference standings.
